Calculate body mass index from your body mass in kilograms and height in centimetres.

BMI

24.7

Within the usual range

BMI cannot tell muscle from fat, so it often reads high for people who lift.

How is BMI calculated?

BMI is body mass in kilograms divided by height in metres squared. For example, 80 kg at 180 cm gives 24.7 after rounding to one decimal place.

What does this number tell me?

BMI describes mass relative to height. It does not distinguish muscle from fat and is not an individual health assessment.
